Adam is Chief of Staff for Councilmember Navarro. His portfolio includes the budget, education, and state legislation. Prior to working at the Council, he served as Chief of Staff for Senator Richard S. Madaleno, Jr. (District 18) and as Right to Vote Director of FairVote, where he worked on voting rights issues. Adam received his bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and master’s degree from George Washington University. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio.
Ken is a Senior Legislative Aide in Councilmember Navarro’s office. He covers land use and other regulatory issues and handles communications for the councilmember. Ken grew up in Montgomery County and is a graduate of Walt Whitman High School. He received his bachelor’s from Skidmore College and law degree from William & Mary Law School.
Mayra Cruz-Solis is a Legislative Aide and Outreach Coordinator for the Office of Councilmember Navarro. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and has received training in community empowerment at Impact Silver Spring. She was born in Nicaragua and lives in Germantown. She is married and has one son, an MCPS graduate and a UMBC student majoring in Political Science.
Bertha is Legislative Aide to Councilmember Navarro covering Health and Human Services and Public Safety Committees. She was born in El Salvador and grew up in Montgomery County. She graduated from Wheaton High School. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business from Montgomery College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Policy Studies from Dickinson College.
Matt Weiss is a Legislative Aide and Scheduler for Councilmember Navarro. He graduated with High Honors from the University of Maryland and later received a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa. Prior to working for Councilmember Navarro, Matt worked as Legislative Director for Delegate Bonnie Cullison (District 19) in the Maryland General Assembly.
